Today I want to share a Very Special Christmas Package that just arrived all the way from PRAGUE! The package was sent by my friend Magdalena Brouckova-Hajkova. We met Maggie in Prague at a TGIF's Restaurant. Floyd took me to Berlin, Munich, Prague, Venice, Rome and Paris for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. It was a TRIP OF A LIFETIME! I asked Maggie to be our tour guide the next day and she agreed! Maggie took us down all of these unknown Alley's and showed us all of the shortcuts through town. (No offense Fromer's but Maggie was way better than you! She ROCKED!) We have kept in touch by EMAIL ever since, and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend! Since the trip Maggie has married Peter, and they now have two sons named Tobias and Mikalus. Inside my package were handmade Christmas Ornaments/Gingerbread Cookies/Kinder Eggs/Stamps/Ribbon/Coins/Books/postcards, etc! Merry Christmas Maggie & Peter! We are coming back to see you some day!

Today's die is the Scoreboard Business Card Box by Eileen Hull
I am having a great time using Eileen Hull's Scoreboard dies! This is my fourth blog hop and I am very excited that Eileen invited me to participate. I decided to sew buttons on my business card holder. I have been collecting buttons for about 15 years now and I especially love White, Cream, and Rinestones! Love antique bling! I started around the edges and filled in the small spaces with some tiny white baby buttons to fill in the holes. It took me about 4 hours. I sewed them on the front, back, sides, top and bottom. It was worth the time. Floyd said "You are not giving that one away!"

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did not make many thanksgiving projects this year. Does anyone have any fun projects to share with me? Well, as promissed here is another sleigh creation. A simple sleigh gift card. I really like this Sizzix Scalloped Card die and use it alot with Karen's dies. I have also used it over and over to create mass quantities of simple cards like I talked about in my previous post about the butterfly recycled card. Quick and simple! Here is how I made it:
1.) Cut out the scalloped card and distressed around the edges.
2.) Cut out Karen's sleigh die. (*See her blog for a tutorial at: http://www.karenburniston.typepad.com )
3.) Decorate with snow confetti, brads & ribbon.
4.) Purchase a gift card.
5.) Punch a hole in the gift card with your crop-a-dile and tie gift card to sleigh with ribbon.
Happy Holidays everyone!

I am having such a Great time using Eileen Hull's Scoreboard dies! Today's die is the Notebook Pocket. I love to sew on anything so these dies are perfect for me! For this sample I was given a brown die cut so I thought it would be fun to use pink and brown together. I thought the neutral colored buttons with those colors would be a fun combination. Thank you Eileen for inviting me to participate! I love everyone's projects!

Today I want to say how Proud Floyd and I are of my oldest son Nicholas. He was so excited to tell us he made the CSCS SCHOOL VARSITY TEAM. He has worked so hard and has accomplished so much. Not bad for a 15 year old! In addition to playing on his CSCS school team, he has played Gold Crown, SOCO, and on several Competitive teams. Here are some of his accomplishments:
CSCS (School team)- 2008 March Tiger Tourney Champions.
COLORADO IMPACT (Competitive team)- Champions in 3 Tourneys: MAYB, May Madness, and State Games of the West. They also made it to the Semi-Ffinals and placed in 3 other tourneys, ALL IN 2008-2009.
BIG EAR (Competitive Team)-Won the 2008 SOCO Fall Championship, and were UNDEFEATED.
KINGS (Competitive Team)- Won 2009 MAYB Tournament.
CSCS (School Team)- 2009 UCCS Tourney Champions.
Good LUCK THIS YEAR # 13, and keep up the good work!
Love,
Mom and Dad

HI EVERYONE:)! I designed this card for my friend, the Queen of Dies, Karen Burniston!
Check out Karen's Blog @ http://www.karenburniston.typepad.com for some NEW Video Tutorials which show you the "Tips and Tricks" on how to use the dies!
Here are the instructions on how I made this card!
1.) I started by cutting 4 pieces of 6x6 pirate paper by Rusty Pickle. I had some Sizzix 6x6 chipboard pieces and attached the paper to the pieces with my wondertape.
2.) I skipped to the inside of the card because that is how I design all my pop-up cards. I make the inside first, then I decide how to decorate the front once I am inspired from the die. I used this clear ruler with holes already it it that are "pre-spaced". I purchased it from Archiver's. I measured where I wanted the holes to go. I marked them with a slickwriter marker. (Also from Archiver's). I used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes through the chipboard.
3.) I laced my hemp rope thru the top and bottom of the middle of the card. I used approx 1 yard and 1/2 as I wanted my rope to be long because I wanted to attach pirate buttons to the end of the rope.
4.) I cut out two black sleighs along with the other pieces. It is easier to "embellish and decorate" the sleigh before you adhere it to the "base" and attach it to the middle of the card. I used photos and free handed the sails. I attached and cut some more pictures for the sails, cut off the bottom of the sleigh, added a pirate brad to one of the sails, added some "water from a piece of blue paper, added some rub-ons, and some more rope and walla! I was done decorating my sleigh. I adhered it to the middle of the card.
5.) I then added my favorite 4x6 photo of Tara and Russ. (We built this GIANT PIRATE SHIP for my son's birthday. That was such a blast! Tara & I have been friends for 17 years now &I could go on & on about that... but that is another story!) I attached large black photo corners. I added Making Memories Black Velvet sticker letters and Making Memories rub-ons.
6.) Lastly, I used my distressing tool from Stamp-in up to distress around the outside of the card. I love my tools!
Thank you to Mary Puskar of: http://www.primitiveseasons.blogspot.com, who emailed and asked me when I would post another sleigh die sample. Thank you Mary for motivating me! I love Blogland! You should check out her blog! Mary:) My question to you? Do you have any of Karen's awesome pop-up dies? They are so fun to make cards with! The best part of all is when you give a handmade pop-up card to someone and you see the reaction on they're face! They will be so amazed that you made a pop up card! Thank you Karen for making it easy for us to make such amazing projects! I will post the other sleigh card I made for Karen tomorrow! Stay tuned!

Hi everyone! Two posts in one day I can't believe it!
I made this camera strap for my friend Kimberly Van Diepen. She is a stampinUp! Demonstrator who is amazing! She asked me if I could sew, and if I was up to a challenge? I said yes. She had been wanting a camera strap, and asked me if I could make her one. I said sure! So here's the scoop! I went off to the local fabric store to find a pattern. I wanted to make one for myself too and had tons of ideas on how I wanted to make it. I wanted to sew buttons and use old pieces of broken jewelry. I could not find a pattern, so I jumped on the internet to see what other camera straps were out there. There were some really neat ones. I started sewing, and my machine tollaly broke & I had to HAND SEW THE WHOLE THING! It was worth it because I sent Kimberly the email and photo to tell her I was done and she told me it was her birthday! For some reason I wanted to finish it that night and set my mind to it! I was so happy that I had stayed up late because she was so happy it was on her birthday! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRIEND! Check out herwebsite at : www.stampinbythesea.com. Watch for my next camera strap project. I have already started it!
