I am so excited to show you the new Karen Burniston dies! Karen is at Winter version of CHAW in LA promoting her dies, and teaching some classes. I made several samples for her using vintage papers, antique diamond glaze, and my personal favorite B~L~I~N~G! Together Rene' and I made a Beautiful, one of a kind, Butterfly Bling Necklace just for Karen to wear at CHA. We used turquoise colored glitter glass, a diamond glaze type glue, a silver chain from my stash, some beads, and jewelry pieces. We also used the stampin up embossing mini butterfly die to add the little silver butterfly on the necklace. I made matching earings and walla! A beautiful piece was made just for Karen to wear at CHAW.
*{It is truly a work of Art!}*
Of course I had to snap a shot 0f Rene' modeling it:
I made a Family Tree Wheel using Karen's new die that makes a wheel. I used some old photo's of my family, decorated the pieces using that same antique diamond glaze, and bling. It came together so quickly! These are the supplies I used to make my wheel come to life:
I used Karen's new sizzlet Crown to create a pin:
I LOVE THIS CROWN! I added some rhinestones, antique diamond glaze, and a pin back I from my local craft store.
I also used two of Karen's new dies to create this jewelry garland that you could attach to a gift, or gift bag and let it hang. I really liked using the antique vintage diamond glaze on top of them to make them sparkle!
Here is a matchbox I created using Karen's Medallian die:
I used her die with the stampin up matchbox die:
She has a new cupcake die and it is so easy to create these pop up cards! Love it Karen!
And one last sample:
I loved using Karen's butterfly so much I decided to make a simple butter fly card. I used another sizzix die that cuts out a scalloped card.
Here are some samples that my friend Rene' made:
She made a Family Wheel, flower box, cupcake card (that card is so cool! She handmade the flowers and sewed beads on them!) I won't show you all her projects, but come back to her blog soon and you can see the other samples she made.
*These are the dies we used for these projects:

These are some seriously beautiful projects, Bonnie. It reflects where you are at with your art; combining scrap booking and jewelry making. That is what I love most about your blog. The fact that some of these pieces can be worn, adds another dimension. I love the use of antique glaze. It takes away some of the polished, 'newness' and adds a timeless quality. Your work is simply genius.
