Here is the Valentine's Day Sash my friend Tara and I made using Karen Burniston's Heart Pop Up die by Sizzix. We needed a heart shape to use so we used one of Karen's dies. Although this die is retired, I still wanted to show everyone just how cool this project turned out. I continue to reach for this die over and over, and especially on Valentine's Day. We used Karen's die to cut out the hearts. The die is made of steel, and strong enough to hold 4 pieces of fabric at once. We used several different fabrics including red tulle, and red poly-satin fabrics. We burned the hearts to get different sizes, and then just stacked them until we got the look we wanted. Then we sewed them all together with the red beads. Here is the die we used, and a great u tube video:
