I decided to make my check book cover into a little Christmas Journal. Eilleen Hull is the designer of these awesome scoreboard dies for Sizzix. It was a little time consuming, but was well worth the time I spent. I plan to put some photos in at Christmas and journal in it. I used Making Memories papers, Making Memories Mistletoe chipboard buttons, a Little Yellow Bicycle Journal tablet, green velvet ribbon, and some metal tags from Wal-Mart.
I punched holes in the journal pages, added embelishments, and used the velvet ribbon to lace up the book. I sewed the chipboard buttons to the front and inside the book. You should try it!

Bonnie, what a beautiful job! I particularly like the lacing on the binding. Ingenious!
