This year I am so gratefull that Nicholas will be coming home for the Holidays. I just got to see him at Thanksgiving, and so blessed that he gets to come home again this year. We will also have Floyd's parents here for the holidays.
Nicholas got measured for a new suit.
He is not my little guy any longer!
Here are some fun projects I am working on:
This chandelier is from RaeAnne's shop called Caviano's.
Floyd and I are fixing it for her.
It took me 3 hours just to remove all the crystals.
And another 3 hours to wash them all.
Floyd will fix the inside.
Here is what it looks like without the crystals on it.
New jewelry I just made for sale:
These last two pair of earrings I made for my friend Janet.
I won't get to see Nicholas until May.
I have gotten so many compliments on my painting.
And on my hand made ceiling medallions.
Everyone keeps asking me how I do it.
This is how I do it:
1.) I remove the screws on the back & mirrors.
2.) I sand.
3.) I paint white.
4.) I distress either by sanding, or by using my tea stained glaze from Ralph Lauren.
5.) Let dry. So easy!
These are some frames I bought for sale.
They were gold.
Here they are after I "Shabby'd them all out"...
Here is a giant old frame I purchased.
I wanted a big one to hang above my new antique buffet.
(And I love it when I trade! I love my new buffet thank you Janet!)
Here is the Giant frame after I painted & Distressed it.
It turned out exactly how I wanted it!
It was perfect for my Thanksgiving dinner! Just in time!
I recently bought an expensive ceiling medallion for $44.
It was so cheaply made & so expensive!
I thought this is crazy! ...
This is way too much & I can make this for way less than $44!
So I quickly returned that expensive medallion, and made my own.
Here is how I did it:
I bought a frame for $3.50 from the thrift store.
It was actually a clock.
I removed the plastic piece and the clock part.
(I forgot to snap a photo of when it was a clock, but I did get a photo of when it was blue)
After I painted the frame white, I used Ralph Lauren Glaze called Tea stained.
I added some wall paper that I bought for $1 and then added the same glaze to it.
I glued some layers of cardboard from an old box I had and kept layering it.
It turned out like this! Way better than that $40 pre fab'd one from the hardware store.
The best part is I love mine way better & I made it for less than $5!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!
